The drive down to Queesntown was absolutely stunning, with more beautiful mountains and lakes than you could shake a stick at! We decided it was time to have a warm shower after a few days of bathing in lakes, so we checked into the local campsite. we had heard about something called fisbee golf in the town gardens and decided it couldnt be missed, so we bought the cheapest frisbees we could find (big mistake as it was like throwing a dinner plate) and headed for the course! It was a brilliant idea, the course took over the whole park and after getting overtook by quite a few locals we finally reached the 18th hole. The next day we headed up the gondola to the top of the mountain and the view from the top was fantastic, but even better was the luge back down. You had to complete a beginners one before you could hit the fast one...it was so cool! The next day we set out to the far side of queenstown and took a swim in the beautiful lake, it was one of the hottest days so far and the proof was in Richards nose! For our final night in Queenstown we discovered a ski site that for obvious reasons was only used in the winter therefore it was free range in the summer months! So we climbed to a suitably high hidden spot and set up camp for the night! Next stop Te Anau.
