We arrived in Brisbane and as Richard was in charge of the map we managed to walk 2 block in the wrong direction...so after 2 blocks walking back to where we started we finally found the hostel and checked into our 4 bed dorm with Gemma and Euwen. Noose was our next stop along the coast, we checked into our YHA, which was pretty cool as it was near the centre of the town but as it was full wooden and set among the trees it kind of felt like a tree house! On our first night at Rainbow beach a group of us from our hostel headed up to the sand blast to watch the sunset...it looked like huge meadow of sand that rose up into massive sand dune you could slide down! Our next stop was Agnes waters and the town of 1770. A scottish couple we met - Gemma and Euwen suggested a nice little place called cool bannanas so we all checked in and grabbed the body boards and headed for the beach! Airlie beach was a cool little town along the East coast and it was where everybody caught their boats from for the Whitsunday islands trip. This place had a lagoon even better than Cairns so the next morning before catching our boat we finished off the remainders of the previous night's Domino's pizza and soaked up some sun before heading to the docks.
