Back in Christchurch, much to our amusement as the pair of us are not too fussed on the place. However, we did have to retrace our steps from a fortnight ago as we had lost all our photos of the place when we lost a CD in Queenstown. Bumped into one of the boys from our bus down the west coast so had a catch up with him. We didn?t do much at all as we had seen it all before. We just looked forward to our next stop at Kaikoura.

Arrived in Christchurch pretty late, after going thru passport control and quarantine we finally got to the hostel at 130am. Stayed at Base Backpackers in the centre. Not the best hostel we've stayed in unless you enjoy mingling with drunk 18 year olds! It was a nice change to have to put a jumper on as the temperature was at least 10 degrees cooler than when we left Melbourne.
