Day 47 - Siem Reap - Angkor Wat Sunset
This morning headed back to the airport on a tuk-tuk to retrieve our missing bag. When we arrived the person in lost bags was at lunch, so Mum rang them on their mobile and we had to wait 15mins for them to return. On the way back to the hotel our tuk-tuk driver asked if we were interested in seeing the sun set at Angkor Wat as it is free entry on the condition you buy a ticket for the next day. He advised us that the best value for money is to buy a 3 day ticket as you get the third day free. We had lunch at the hotel and watched some TV before heading for our first look at the Angkor temple ruins. Our tuk-tuk man dropped us at the bottom of the hill and told us to walk to the top 10-15mins (as the tuk-tuk can't go that way). The temple was quite amazing and is over 800 years old. We climbed up the steep stairs of the ruins and watched the sun set over the valley and the Angkor Wat temple - it was amazing.
