24/11/2009Day 50 - Siem Reap -Angkor Sunrise and Banteay SreyI thought that we had been up early before, but this morning I was mistaken. Mum woke us up at 4.30am and our tuk-tuk man picked us up at 5am and took us to Angkor Wat Temple to see the sunrise. It was beautiful and peaceful, (with all the other tourists mind you). 3/11/2009Day 49 - Siem Reap - More Angkor TemplesToday we returned to Angkor this time with our tuk-tuk man (they are a little possessive of their clients, but in a nice way). It was $18 for the day. At the first temple Preah Khan on the main entrance bridge Mum rolled her ankle. Dad caught Mum and laughed until he noticed that Mum wasn't laughing and said that her vision was a little blurry. 22/11/2009Day 48 - Siem Reap - Angkor TemplesToday we were up early and headed to Angkor to see the temple ruins. Today we had a driver, a guide and an air-conditioned van. It was our guide's first ever English speaking tour! His first language is Cambodian, then Spanish and third English, and he also told us he is studying Russian. 21/11/2009Day 47 - Siem Reap - Angkor Wat SunsetThis morning headed back to the airport on a tuk-tuk to retrieve our missing bag. When we arrived the person in lost bags was at lunch, so Mum rang them on their mobile and we had to wait 15mins for them to return.
