We went on a city tour today that included a trip round San Diego, taking in the gaslamp quarter, seaport village, Coronado island and its cool hotel where 'some like it hot' was filmed, the old town and La Jolla. Following that we got out on the water for an education on San Diego's navel base which is one of the biggest in the world. After that it was down to Tijuana for some shopping and margaritas courtesy of Jeff Rowlands! I bartered for a straw trilby and we also got some cute tequila shot glasses. Got back over the boarder no bother and quicker than it took to get through LAX immigration! Tijuana wasn't as scary as everyone says and in fact I wouldn't have minded longer there, but at the same time, I can see where one could easily get it wrong!
