Today we had an excursion to the Mekong Delta which was absolutely fascinating. We had a two hour drive south to catch a boat and then cruised the Mekong River it is so large. The Delta is one of the main gateways for products to be bought in to the country and then taken to the towns and cities. The tour included lunch in a lovely old French Colonial restaurant. On the way down to the Delta we passed lots of farms, it is traditional for the rice farmers, husband and wife to be buried on their land. We took a photo of one the headstones from my phone. Another early start tomorrow for our next excursion we get picked up at 06.40 almost seems like work.
