Rentsch's Around Australia
From our free camp near Penong we hit the Eyre Highway again and made our way to another free camp near Koonalda. The Eyre Hightway takes you through the Yalata Aboriginal Reserve and into the Nullarbor National Park. We stopped at the "Head of the Bite" for lunch. This is a look out over the great Australian bite and southern ocean. From May to October southern right whatles come here to bread. We missed the whales by two weeks. To the east of the bite there are beaches and sand dunes, to the west are cliffs. The weather was windy and the swell was huge. We arrived at our free camp around 4pm. We were now only 84km from the WA border.
