We spent Anzac Day on the road getting some kilometers out of the way. To start a quick run into Border Village (84km) to go through the quarantine ckeckpoint and then into WA. However the drive to Border Village made us wondering what on earth we were doing. We had a string of road trains (some 5.7 meters wide to contend with). Honestly it's scarry stuff, you are out in the dirt trying to either get passed or around them. Thank God for the UHF so we could communicate with the pilots and drivers. The really big road trains or wide loads are restricted to about 70km/h an hour. So unless you want to drive behind them for hours at 70km/h you have to go around. Things got beter later on in the morning and we didn't seem to encounter many more. We pulled up stumps at a free camp around 300km east of Noresman. The Nullarbor has been an experience but we will be pleased to be through it.
