From Steaky Bay we headed to a free camp at Haslam for the night. We arived about 4:30pm and the free camp area was full. However we spotted one sight we could squeeze into. And my first run in with a grey nomad began. I went to back in and a lady said "you can't camp there, another camper parks their car there". I stated to her "too bad, get out of the way I'm coming in". And with that (Mandy who was just as annoyed as me) guided me in. It was a bit tense with the neighbours for a while. We are discovering obliging and wonderful grey nomads, but also selfish self centered ones. At a good sight like this most will park there vans side by side, but others like this lady will park across three sites and park their car on the forth. Speaking of great grey nomads, we tried our luck at fishing off the jetty and had no luck. So some grey nomads on the other side of our camp brought us over fresh whitting to cook up for dinner. We spent the night chatting with them and getting some great tips for travelling further west.
