Rentsch's Around Australia Take Two
From our camp at Goovigen we headed south west through Biloela to Bundaberg. Biloela is a really interesting area. Heavily irrigated, it looks amazing. Everthing from sugar cane to wheat and pinaples is grown here. We also came across a massive coal mine and power station just out of Biloela. Powered by coal from the mine the power statio supplies much power to the Queensland grid. The open cut mine is called the Callide Mine.
Moving on we decided to do a farm stay near Bundaberg. The farm stay was perfect, located about 15km out of Bundaberg on a large private lake. It was a nice, quiet and relaxing evening for us all.
