We were up early to get down to the boat ramp at Tin Can Bay by 7:00am. To our surprise there were not too many people there. There were no dolphins in yet but we were told they had been coming in at around 8:00am. However a short time later a Southern Right Wale Dolphin and her 8 month old calf arrived. We were able stand in the water and they swam around very close to us.
A little while later a large male dolphin arrived called Mystique. He is 35 years old. The kids were able to each feed him a fish whichbwas very cool.
We then packed up the van and headed toward Noosa Heads. We stopped at a community camp at Cooroy and dropped the caravan off. We then headed to Noosa Heads for the afternoon. We went to the beach, had a look at the renowned upmarket tourist shopping strips and took in the serenity of the area. I grabbed a real estate brochure as I walked past an agents front door. No houses here under a million dollars.
Noosa heads was very busy with people. Rich people, back packers and people that have saved all year to live like rich people for a week or two. A very beautiful, interesting and expensive place.
