We have spent the last two days exploring Inverell. It has been great for everyone and for me really amazing to see how the town has moved forward since I was last here as a child. We have camped at Copeton Dam, visited the National Motor Museum, fosicked for sapphires and just enjoyed the area. Its so pretty here and not as I remember it. The farming land is versitile and rich with basalt soil. We have visited the church my parents were married in 50 years ago. We found the house my Mum grew up in and it brought back so many memerios of visiting when I was young. Unfortunately we were unable to visit my Aunty Pattie which would have been so nice. She is currently in hospital awaiting surgery. However we did get to chat for some time on the phone which was lovely. I really appreciate Mandy and the kids spending time with me at Inverell. For some reason I needed to visit here. I needed to close a chapter. It was bizare, I felt I could move here tomorrow, I felt drawn to the area. How strange life is. Tomorrow we leave Inverell and are heading toward Longreach.
