We've realised we are running out of time now. We have to be home and ready to go to Tasmaia on Thursday. We really need to be home by Tuesday to get organised. The plan was to spend 3 or 4 days in Canberra and then back out to the the coast. However we will now just make our way home.
So we left the Narrabeen caravan park where we had a great stay. We all really enjoyed Sydney and both Mandy and I loved the lifestyle the northern suburbs offers. Although the cheapest house around Narrabeen I could find was 1.6 million dollars. And that wasn't a flash one!
We headed over the Sydney Harbour Bridge which was really cool. We then made our way south towards Woolongong. The steep decent into Woolongong is amazing and offers spectacular views. We drove further south to the industrial town of Port Kembla where we stopped for lunch.
We then continued on to Kiama and stopped at the famous blowhole. However the tide was low and it wasn't blowing. Kiama is a beautiful town, very touristy and busy.
Heading further south to Nowra the higway and scenery where enjoyable. Arriving in Nowra we set up camp at the showgrounds. Great views of the Shoalhaven River, also great to see some water skiing going on. It was 40 degrees so we then decided to drive to the beach at Shoalhaven Heads for a swim. It was so refreshing. It was a very hot and balmy night and despite having air conditioning in the van, Charlie was the only one who slept well.
