Leaving Sea World late in the afternoon we made our way down to Coffs Harbour. We drove along the coast through Surfers Paradise. I thought of a work collegue Buddsy as the streets were beginning to be transformed into a race track for the upcoming Gold Coast 600 and V8 Supercars in October.
We stayed at a free camp that night near Byron Bay called Yelgun Rest Area.
The following morning we headed into Byron Bay hoping to have a nice day there and good look around. However Byron Bay turned out to be the worst place we have ever been to in a caravan. There was just no parking anywhere. It was ridiculous. Frustrated we left Byron Bay and headed toward Coffs Harbour.
That night we stayed at a football ground at Coffs Harbour that caters for caravaners. Nice hot showers, water and power. It was pretty good value for $15.
