After a good lunch complete with music and dancers, we walked to a Turkish house that was still intact from the Ottoman Empire. Pictured is a huge bed where 7 people would sleep. There are little tea cups on the bed, so I expect much more than sleeping was going on...
From there we visited a Christian church which was allowed to be there during the Ottoman time if it were no taller than a Turk on horseback with his sword raised and they paid a tax. They dug deep in the earth and made their church. It is filled with icons - pictures painted on the walls - still well preserved.
We got back to the boat about 6:30 and had to get ready for the Captain's Dinner. I was so tired I couldn't wait for it to be over and get to bed - just tire much too easily any more.

Cathy I've just wandered with you through all your trip and loved it!! I'm so impressed with your tech knowledge and photos. You should be pleased. So glad to hear the weather was good and you certainly seem to enjoy all that the different countries had to offer.
Betty Dudgeon I just finished reading all your interesting info. No wonder you are so tired! Putting all this together is a lot of work. Much too much like being in school. This is too much work for me but I thank you for doing it.
