We spent the day cruising between Romania and Bulgaria. The face carved on the mountain is similar to our Mt Rushmore. We went through 2 locks, had a lecture on th European Union, ate baklava and terramisu (sp), played cribbage, got a recipe for goulash, sat on the sunny top deck and watched the wooded mountains go by. The mountains, like the river go into middle Europe with different names in different countries ending with the Alps. We had Bulgarian children come on board and dance for us last night, Serbian children the night before- such energy !
