We finally made it to our campsite in London after the 3 hr delay in Lisbon on the 26th July where we will be spending the next week enjoying the sunshine relaxation and events for London 2012!!
After watching the amazing opening ceremony we were up bright and early for the first day of the games and off to watch table tennis. The following afternoon we watched USA vs France and China vs Spain and the atmosphere during the games was unreal!!
The next couple of days we spent relaxing in the sun at the live sites at Hyde Park and Victoria Park before our last event on Wednesday night at the beach volleyball!! We were lucky enough to see the Aussies here where Natalie cook participated in her last Olympics!!
Friday the 3rd August
We jumped on an early morning Eurostar to Brussles where we spent the day sightseeing visiting beautiful churches and later in the afternoon visited the Atomium which was build in 1958 for the world fair. The following morning we took the train to Bruge where we spent 2 days wandering the cobbled stone streets, walking along the beautiful canals and eating!! Belgium is famous for food and boy did we eat... Chips with mayonnaise, waffles, chocolate, beer and more!!
Monday 6th August
After 2 lovely days in Bruge we caught another train to amsterdam via Antwerpen where we spent a couple of hrs looking around whilst waiting for our connecting train. Whilst in Amsterdam we were staying with my best friend from back home Jess quinlan who is living and working in Amsterdam for the year. It was so lovely to arrive at a beautiful canal side apartment. Highlights of Amsterdam was our trip to zannze shannz north west of Amsterdam which is a traditional Dutch village where we went to a cheese factory, a clog factory and wandered along the river with windmills turning in the background (look at the photos for a better idea). We spent our last afternoon riding bikes around the city for a few hrs before enjoying some nice cocktails and dinner.
Friday 10th August
We are now on a train back to brussles where we will join the Eurostar back to London for the weekend the enjoy the rest of the Olympics, men's marathon and closing ceremony before we head to Croatia for 2 weeks in the sun!!
Love Rhiannon and Evan xx

Villa I accpect not to be an apccetion in the matter of excepting a conceptual tree. Am I? I'm just worried that knowing my fortune any unsheltered gifts will be subject to rain after the roof and several floors are torn off by a freak tornado. That's the sort of thing that happens to us. If we had a tree there'd be no need to worry. But fine, if you want your new katana to get rusty I guess we'll have a pretend Christmas to match our pretend jolly spirit... Didn't you hear me complaining the other day about wanting to be a midget with a Disney obsession again? Imaginary Christmasses won't cut it with this dude.
