Colleen & Tom's Explorations
This morning we docked in Trondheim. The port is a little way from the city so there were shuttle buses. We had our excursion booked for lunchtime so we had a late brekky and emailed the girls.
there were 3 coaches to the Lokken Mines (pronounced Looken), which was a 75 minute drive. We went via the Trondheim Fjord, then boarded an old train. the train trip was quite scenic, then we were taken by coach again to the mine where we were all given raincoats and hard hats and led by 3 20-year-olds down the mine to a large hall where another young fellow played 3 or 4 songs on his violin (would have been a great opportunity to do some Grieg - Hall of the Mountain King??? - but no). We were then led back out and bussed back to the ship!!
We were tired so we had fish and chips in our cabin for dinner.
