Lubuanbajo is a beautiful, happy and ramshackle town on the coast of Flores. The people are wonderful, always smiling and saying hello to me as I pass. I am liking Indonesia more and more each day. I have now set foot on just 5 of the over 17,000 islands that make up the archipalego. I will only now have time to see Flores and Sulawesi on this trip. How can you beat this place though. $3 room, $3 fresh fish dinners, and no hassle from touts. This is all while overlooking the beautiful turqouise sea and small fishing boats. I really am starting to love this little place. Tomorrow I will head to Bajawa, which is an area in Flores that is surrounded by traditional Indonesian villages.
