We were woken up by the bright sun shinning through the windows. It was nice to know the sun was back again and wouldnt upset our plans for the day like yesterday.
We first visited the two oceans aquariam, where we saw some incredible sea creatures including sharks, turtles, sting ray, bull frog, fishes not forgetting nemo, and the cute penguins!!!!!
We then went to Robben Island and had a 'great' history lesson!!! Learnt a lot about Rober Sobukwe and a little about Nelson Mandela and how they were treated during their time in prison. We were impressed by their poetic english to their wives. The boat ride to and from the island gave us fantastic views on the coast line including the massive stadium where the football will be played at this coming world cup.
We then rushed off to the Table Mountains. We just made it in time to take the last cable cart up and were mezmerised by the views at 1068m above sea level. It was also great timing because we saw three different views; before sunset, during sunset and after sunset....words cannot describe what we saw :)!!
We forget to eat all day ...so were not just starving..but marving..hehe so we rushed to the Waterfront for a nice indian meal at the jewel of india...we gobbled the food so fast that the waiter was wondering if everything was ok. We finished the whole meal..including starters and mains in a record time of 15 minutes. The ambience was amazing at the waterfront, it felt a bit like cardiff bay in the summer but much bigger and livelier.
When we got back to the backpackers..met up with Mike. It was great catching up with him and knowing a bit more about the different sides of cape town. The day finished off with Nira sipping wine and eating chocolate while reading her bed in book and Rachna busy reading the Cosmo...lol!
