It was so so misty this morning when we got up and looked out of window. You could hardly see anything at all. We were just glad that we didn't have that weather yesterday and actually got to see Ha Long Bay. We had breakfast on the boat which was fried eggs and bread and tea/coffee and then set off for our last activity of the trip. We went to a pearl farm in the middle of sea in Ha Long Bay and saw how they made and extracted pearls from oysters. After a short look around we got back on the big boat and slowly sailed for about 2 hours back to the harbour. We had lunch on the way back, again another feast to fill us up before we set off back to Hanoi. The weather brightened up a little on the way back and the sun made an appearance through the mist and cloud. It got pretty warm but it was still pretty misty too. It just made it look eerie like something out of a pirate film sailing past islands through the mist! Back at the harbour we joined with other trips and all got back on a big coach for the trip back to Hanoi. We were pretty exhausted by this point but I couldn't get any sleep at all which was pretty frustrating as Nath had a little nap! We had such a brilliant trip and saw some pretty surreal sights! Definitely worth a visit and glad we went on it. Loved every minute and loved staying overnight on the boat in the middle of Ha Long Bay with limestone islands surrounding us!
