9th December -WHITSUNDAYS SAILING TRIP
Was booked on the mighty Boomrang ocean racing yacht to leave at 2pm. The boat raced under the name Ondine VII and was very successful. It was built in italy, 83ft in length 20ft wide, built of high tech carbon fibre. the mast extends 110ft above the deck.
We were all made to dit on one side of the boat legs dangling off the edge, while some helped put the sail up. once up we sailed to falsenara for a snorkel.
we all had to put stinger suits on before getting in the water. had a snorkel and looked at some coral.
we then sailed to Hook Passage where the boat stayed for the night. we had some dinner and watched the sunset, had afew drinks, but most people went to bed early.
10th december we sailed to tongue bay and walked to whithaven beach, which was beautiful, stayed there for a couple of hours before sailing to whithaven bay to snorkel. saw some colourful fish.
We then sailed to Pitstop bay, saw some turtles in the water. we stayed over night at stonehaven. The heavens opened and it thunder and lighteninged all night, the boat was rocking!
played some drinking games before heading to bed.
11th december
