Got the bus up to 1770 today, the only town in the world to have a name in numbers, called 1770 because this was the year Lt James Cook landed there and put a british flag down to claim the territory.
On the way we stopped and Bunderberg and took a tour of the Rum distillery. It was very informative!!
as we got to 1770 it rained. The scooteroo bike tour, basically riding around on motorbikes which i was going to do was cancelled due to the rain, It rained constatly for the 3 days I was there :( miserable, but gave me time to catch up on sleep from Fraser.
Got the over night Greyhound to Airlie beach. we got a flat shredded tyre half way through the journey, the driver and some of the lads off the bus had to change it on the side of the road.
arrived in Airlie only an hour and a half late on the morning of the 8th dec
