The last week we have been using the gym again. Its great to do a work out and feel really good afterwards. On Monday 4th January we went to Manly Wharf. We walked to Woolworths and caught a bus to Manly to meet Kerry and her friend Kat who she has met in the Base hostel. We waited for them to arrive on the ferry from Circular Quay. We had a walk along the beach and then went to have a look around the town. We got ice cream and sat down for a while chatting. Aimee's sister Nicki and her friend came over to see us for a bit. I have never met Aimee's sister before. She looks so much like Aimee. Kerry and Kat were going to see Avatar at the cinema in the evening as its Kat's last night before she goes to New Zealand and invited Gina and I along. It was $22.00 per ticket to see it in 3D which was really expensive. I couldn't afford it and Gina wasn't sure whether she could afford it either. She decided to go in the end so she got the ferry back to Circular Quay with Kerry and Kat and I got a bus back to Crows Nest to the apartment. Today was my Dad's 60th Birthday so I gave him a call in the evening. Happy Birthday Dad. Gina came back from the cinema and said that Avatar was a good film but not worth $22.00. On Tuesday 5th January I had an appointment with a recruitment agency called AA Appointments. They deal with work in travel related jobs. I got the train from North Sydney station to Wynyard station and walked to the offices down O'Connell street. I met with Anita to discuss about registering for work and had to fill out loads of forms. Fingers crossed they can find some work for me soon. In the evening Kerry came over and I cooked a BBQ for us. Then we went to watch Couples Retreat at the Moonlight Cinema which is an open air cinema down Oxford street. We got the train to Town Hall station and then changed here and got a train to Museum station. We didn't know where the outdoor cinema was so we got a taxi to the park and walked through the gates. It was pitch dark with no lighting anywhere and no sign of the cinema screen. We walked around for ages but couldn't find it. We could hear the flim playing but didn't know how to get to it. In the end 2 hours later we found it but the film had already been showing for an hour and a half so there was no point watching it especially as tickets were $12.00. We went back to the apartment and watched a film. Kerry stayed the night.
