The last couple of days have been very chilled out. Over the weekend we haven't done much which has been great. We have been enjoying living in an apartment and its been really nice to chill out on the sofa and watch TV. We have also found that its nice to not have to live out of bags for a while and be able to put our things away in wardrobes etc without worrying that its going to get stolen. The apartment complex has a free gym and swimming pool for residents to use so we have been working out at the gym and Gina has used the swimming pool a few times. It's nice to have these facilities in the complex. We have used the BBQ for the first time as well. I enjoyed cooking the food for Gina and I. I love having BBQ's. On Sunday 20th December we decided to cook a roast. We had roast chicken and it was really delicious. I have missed having roasts while I have been away. On Monday 21st December we started to look for work as we are living in Sydney for 3 months. I couldn't download my CV on the computer here in the apartment so I had to ask my dad to copy and paste it on a email to me from my saved copy on my laptop at home. I updated my CV and applied for six jobs on seek.com website. One job in travel and the rest in administration positions. All companies are shuting down for Christmas and New Year so I doubt much will happen until the beginning of January. Gina applied for a promotions job with Medibank International working at the Sydney Olympic Park for a tennis tournament. They asked her to go for an interview on Tuesday 22nd December and it seemed to go well for her so fingers crossed she gets the work. It's for one week in January. On Tuesday Aimee came round in the evening after work and stayed the night with us. She has two jobs working in bars, Docks and Helm bar at Darling Harbour. You have to do a RSA course for 1 day over here in Australia to be able to work behind the bar or do waitressing. We got pizza from Dominos down the road as everything is cheaper on a Tuesday. It was great to catch up with Aimee. She has settled in well in Sydney and has her own apartment which she rents with friends in Coogee. I think she plans to start to travel up the East Coast by the end of January. The weather has still been hit and miss. It's stopped raining but still very overcasted. We want to see sunshine.
