Well off in search of Nessie i went, she was everywhere to be seen, but nowhere to be found!

Apart from the obvious marketing push, which to be fair wasnt actually all that strong, there were some lovely spots around the loch.

Im of the opinion that my photos cant do any justice to the visuals up here though. Postcards are on every bend of the road.

My advice thus far is stay out of the cities they are fairly bland. Stick to the villages and countryside, spend too much time in town and you will knock yourself off.

My hostel at the loch was right on the water and had a morning view over ness with a clear sky.

So far me and chuck have racked up over 800 miles, so really getting to see most of the country.

*special entry 1 - strange electrical appliances*

- electric towel rack
- ironing board without an iron, attached to the side of a wall, it was that or another electric towel rack... Though if it was, it still did a decent job of pressing my shirt.
- showers that turn on via a pull cord from the ceiling

Im sure there are more to come.

Currently on the Isle of Skye which is raw and breathtaking. Will post in a couple of days my adventures from here which involve a lot of trekking!
