Well hello everyone, from the successful Pilgrim. I came into Santiago de Compestella yesterday Tuesday on the 29 th day since leaving France. It was 820 kms ( give or take , depending on which maps you believe) of which I took a bus for 75 kms and had 3 rest days ( which equalled the walking distance I got the bus) I left yesterday in the dark at 6 am to ensure I got there in time to register ahead of the 12 md Mass.So Margaret walked in slower a little later...

Well hello. Great news. We passed the 100 km marker today- forgot to get a photo with the iPod camera so you will see the 97 km marker instead! The last few days have been so much more interesting with lots of paddocks, stone walls, wild flowers, streams,some cattle tho not alot. Hi again, we have had 3 days of walking since leaving Leon. We got the bus to the outskirts of the city then spent a lot of the day near a major rd, but finally got off track and arrived at the usual 10 houses , 1 church, 1 bar village and a pilgrims hostel. But the tragedy this time was that the bar shut at 2 pm as we got there. So no tea, coffee, beer etc to be had- nothing except tap water until dinner at the hostel at 7.30 pm. Ridiculous! Hi , hope you have got the last 3 blogs I put up. After a lovely stay in Burgos and nice hotel we riddled reluctantly off on our way at 6.50am stoping 20 mins later when we found a coffee shop open and could get a cup of tea and have the thermos flasks filled with hot water.
