Usually I don't really write much about bus days - we had to catch a bus from Paihia to Auckland at 8am then Auckland to Thames, then Thames to Coromandel arriving t 5pm... we knew it would be a long day! It started off pretty normally and we had some lunch at our usual (we like to call it that because we went there before with Lisa and Sam). I even managed to crack out some revision on the second bus deciding a week off maths is probably the most I can afford... although I did fall asleep after a few sections! I woke up to someone shouting about needing the toilet. This woman on the bus was threatening to pee in her seat if the bus driver didn't stop. Unfortunately we were on a motorway and the bus driver promised to stop in 10 mins.

The woman decided to just pee in her seat.

Absolutely disgusting! And so funny! I was literally in tears of laughter as the girl next to her was like "are you serious? Is this really happening to me? Have you got some on my seat too?" to which the response was yes... At that point mel and I shouted out and told her there was an empty seat behind us... I would NOT want to sit next to someone who decides that sitting in your own urine is ok... To make an odd bus journey even stranger Mel and this girl managed to see some flabby guy jumping on a trampoline a few mins later out of the window - naked....! Theres not much else you can say about that.

We met a couple of guys also going to coromandel and theyve ended up in our hostel too. The hostel here called Lion's Den is really funky! Weve got our own room in Madagascar although the other rooms have fun names too. The decorations are really interesting and the whole place looks very jungle-esque. The manager is really friendly too although there aren't that many people here as in Paihia. Its probably because its off-peak and we don't seem to be that close to the main things in Coromandel unfortunately. We managed to cook ourselves a nice dinner though and Im just typing up the blog on Annas laptop now so Its all done. Ill probably put it up tomorrow morning. Tonight were just going to have a nice evening, maybe go to a bar or two and tomorrow try find our way to the beaches. We don't seem to be very close at the moment.

But yep Im off to get ready - kinda look like ive been on a coach all day! xxxxx
