We left Maryland Yacht Club and headed to Herrington Harbor South. The Bay was rough with 2 to 3 foot rollers hitting our Port Stern. That pushed our aft to starboard and bow to port. It was a constant fight to keep PIRASEA on course. The water got a lot rougher as we approached the Annapolis Bridge. But once through there all waters and wind calmed down making a pleasant ride for the second half of the journey.
Our course took us fairly close to Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse. A favorite for Caroline. We took several photos of her with the lighthouse behind her. I’m guessing she will post them on this blog.
When we arrived at Herrington Harbor we were pleased to be on the transient dock once again. However, another docked boater there screamed at the dock hands that we wouldn’t fit and were going to hit his boat. We fit just fine and didn’t hit anything.
We were joined by our friends John and Fran as well as Ed who drove there by car. Ed just happened to be on the Annapolis bridge as we were cruising under it. He got some amazing photos that i’m sure Caroline will also post on this blog.
Doug and Christine were with us by boat at Maryland Yacht Club and on to Herrington Harbor South. After this stop, they will head to Rock Hall as we go on to Oxford.
If you haven’t been to Herrington Harbor South you should include a stop there. Either by boat or car. The place is gorgeous!
