Today we said goodbye to Doug abd Christina (My Way Too) as they headed north spending the night in Tolchester before heading to BBYH.
We also were joined by Nand (Anandia) who arrived mid-afternoon at Herrington Harbor South. They stayed there as we left for Solomans Island. We hope to meet up with them again in Cambridge.
The trip today was probably our roughest yet. The wind was out of the south at 6 to 15 knots. Seas started as two foot rollers but quickly chamged to three to four foot chop. For the first time on this trip, bow spray got me on the bridge several times. The wind and waves were coming into the bow and it was challenging keeping her on course.
We arrived on time (around 12:25) and at first I though the dock hands were joking. They had me back into our spot on a T Head but only about 2/3's of the boat is against the dock. Most of the bow sticks out beyond our pier. The boat behind us was supposed to move their tender out of the way but the lady on the boat couldnt figure out how to start it. No matter, the dock hands did a fantastic job tying us up.
We are looking forward to a few days here to relax and swim in the pool before our next adventure.
