Admin day part two. I had a bit of a sleep in this morning as my appointment at the Home Office wasn't until 11:45am. When I got up I sealed up the box and had a look on the internet to see if there was a post office close by. There was one on Borough high street, so I decided to walk to it with out the box to see how far up the high street it actually was. Time spent in reconnaissance is seldom wasted, as one of my favourite sayings goes.
The post office was actually closer to London Bridge, which is the next tube station along from Borough. So I bought my day travel card at London Bridge and then walked back to the hostel, collected the box and got the tube back to London Bridge. The post office was right out side. I liberated myself; from the box, after paying seventy quid for the privilege of 42 days expected delivery and walked back to Borough.
I watched a bit of TV on my laptop for a bit, before heading back off to Victoria for my appointment. I couldn't find the Home Office again, mainly due to the fact that there is a lot of construction going on around Victoria station and every time I go there it looks different. I'm really starting to hate that area.
I got to the Home Office in the nick of time and lodged my passport application with out incident and was told to come back at 4pm and collect it. So I went back to Camden Town again to kill time. I was actually intent on buying a pair of New Rock flame job boots that I had seen 2 years ago, but they didn't have them in my size, which was very disappointing.
I still had sometime to kill, so I got the tube to Westminster so I could have a look at my clock. Big Ben, my favourite London landmark. Yes, I did say My clock. I had to laugh, while I was looking up at Big Ben, I thought, Better check on the time and proceeded to get my iPhone out of my bag to do so. Big Ben is a giant clock! Not my finest hour, I'll admit. I then went to have a look at Westminster Abbey and after refusing to pay sixteen quid to get in, I went and sat in a park and watched the ducks, not far from Buckingham Palace.
I then headed back to good old Victoria and collected my brand new EU passport, before heading back to the hostel and calling it a night.

Mum I hope your parcel isn't full of boots. lol. 16 pounds to get into Westminster Abbey, what a rip off. It was free when I lived there. All tourist stuff in London is a rip off, remember the Tower of London and you were lucky with your train ticket, they used to be really hot on that, must have been your pretty face. Glad you got things sorted though, all that seems more worrying than your connected flights from Phuket to Oman, I must say. xxx
