6am start as I had to be at the harbour for 7am so I could get on my dive boat rum runner! After a quick shower and a bit of toast I hopped on the shuttle and made my way to the harbour, I found the boat and got signed in and quickly got all my gear sorted! Eventually everyone turned up and we were off by 7.30, we filled in our paper work and then had a quick briefing whilst eating toasties! After a couple hour cruise we ended up at the first dive spot where we shoved on our gear and got straight in the water, it was really good vis and saw a lot of wildlife, highlight was a giant clam that we were making open and close! We then got back on the boat and had an awesome lunch shortly followed by dive number two, another incredible dive around an awesome part of the GBR! After getting out had some snacks and made our way to dive number 3! We found a few different star fish this dive they were super brightly coloured, yellows and blues, they felt a bit weird to the touch but it was cool to handle some more wildlife, back on the boat and was served more amazing food, when it got dark we kitted back up and headed out for our night dive, the water was still super warm and we spotted a few crabs and hid our torches and made the luminescent bacteria light up, then just as we got back to the mooring line we saw a huge stingray trying to bury itself in the sand, such a fun dive! After 4 dives and an early start everyone was pretty zonked so after a beer and a game or two everyone on the boat called it a night as we had a 6:45 start the next day! :(
