This morning we flew from Hanoi to Denang then headed 20 miles south to Hoi An, another town that is a world heritage site. We arrived at the hotel at 2pm and it was 38°C and still very humid so we sat by and in the pool until 5pm. Just before sunset we took a walk into the town which isn't very big but very pretty (in an architectural interest kind of way) down by the river.
We found a few bars, had some dinner and headed back to our hotel.
Tonight with six pints of beer and two main meals in a nice restaurant we managed to spend about £4.50. We have a huge en-suite room in a nice hotel with a pool, very close to the centre of town with a PC & Internet, air conditioning, King size bed and a balcony for £18 a night so staying within our daily budget is fairly easy here!
We will explore the town a little more tomorrow, there are bound to be some temples to look at! Then I think we need to head to the beach which is about three miles away so we'll either hire a moped for the day (£3) or use the free push bikes from the hotel.
