For the last 3 days we have been in Halong Bay and Cat Ba Island. On Sunday we got a junk boat from Halong City into Halong Bay which is a bay made up of 2000 islands only 2 of which are habited (one being Cat Ba Island). We spent the day aboard the junk taking in the sights and eating amazing seafood. We went cave walking amongst stalagmaites and stalactites and had a swim in the warmest sea water before eating more seafood and spending the night aboard the boat.

The following morning we went to Cat Ba Island via another cave and a shrimp farm. Stopped for lunch at a road side restaurant and then made our way to Cat Ba town. Not very much to do or see so we had a wonder to the beach and then found a bar and people watched.

This morning we got back on the junk and made our way slowly back to Halong City and then back to Hanoi.
