We decided to do some reminiscing in relation to our trip (some say it could be seen as homework !!!) under the following headings : TOP 5s - Favourite things...not so fond off...learnt to like...intrigued us. After a 15 hour flight we arrived at around 8.05am ( missing Monday completely) and quickly passed through customs and after a couple of minutes were met by Mary and Tim at the airport. The flight seemed shorter on the way home ( which it always seems to!!) and we were able to get a bit of sleep here and there. We had a nice easy paced trip back to Rainbow and arrived back home around 3.10pm. So that ends our US adventure. It was everything and more we had hoped ...

Well...I suppose the trip had to come to an end at some stage. Today was our last day in the USA. We had a bit of a sleep in and then did an extensive amount of repacking ( petitioning it to become an Olympic sport). We then checked our massive mountain of luggage into storage for the day and ummed and ahhed about the best way to get to Santa Monica. In a flash of brilliance and pure luck the hop on hop off bus just drove by and we decided to get to the pier by ...

Today was our Disneyland day. It was an early start as we were to meet our bus at 6.45am. On our way out there we found out that we only had tickets to Disneyland and not the California adventure...so when we arrived we quickly upgraded to what they call a hopper ticket so that we could go to both parks. ...and then we waited as it wasn't quite time to open...there was probably the population of Rainbow tenfold waiting to get in - the crowd was massive. We decide...

After a nice sleep in we packed up our ever growing luggage and shifted from our airport hotel to the flash Andaz hotel in West Hollywood...it is a very cool hotel (photos to follow in the next day or two). We had a fantastic taxi driver from the airport hotel..he was friendly and chatty ( a rarity it seems) and it actually felt like driving through the streets of Melbourne.
