The sunset over the Grand Canyon was an absolutely glorious way of finishing the day yesterday ( and now you can see the photos too). We bid farewell to the canyon on our way to the bright lights of Las Vegas. Today was our Grand Canyon day. We left Flagstaff (leaving behind our favourite shower and exciting beds). our first stop was the Cameron Trading Post...this specialises in Native American crafts and artwork...we did a bit of shopping. We started off relatively early today as it was definitely going to be an action packed day. Our first stop was to the mountain top community of Acoma pueblo which is the longest continuously inhabited community in North America. We were bussed up to the top of the mountain and a native American guide (an absolute font of knowledge) explained some of the history of his people. It was absolutely fascinating. Today was a free day for us which meant a lovely lovely sleep in...it was just good to do things at our own pace today.
