G'day, We arrived in Melbourne at 6.20am (local time). The journey wasn't as bad as we expected but we didn't look or small too clever so if photos don't appear for a while you know why! Pete was star struck at Heathrow as a guy who plays international rugby for Australia got on our plane. We soon lost sight of him though as he turned left into first class and we turned right into cattle class...one day we will turn left!! We're staying at Base Backpackers in St Kilda for the next few days to find our feet and recover from jetlag! Pete can't stop smiling.....we are in the middle of the red light district, Maccy D's and Subway are a 2 minute walk away, we have a golden beach on our doorstep and you can't walk more then 50 ft without passing a bar! Spending quality time with his girlfriend isn't top of his list of priorities at the moment!! I haven't seen him in 12 hours............(only joking!) The temperature today was a mildly chilly 34 degrees...our jumpers made a brief appearance. Oh by the way how is the heatwave back home?
