Abbie - Today was an early morning start as we drove to Finch Bay in Cook Town to walk along the beach with Granny. After walking along the beach we walked through the botanic gardens. Then we drove back and packed up the van and drove to Palm Cove in Cairns. After setting up, Liv and Dad went in the ocean while Mum, Granny and I went shopping for a present for Ruby and Frasers' birthday, who invited us out to tea with them. We all drove off after and took Granny to the airport and said our sad goodbyes. Then we went out for dinner with Ruby and Fraser for their birthdays. After dinner we went to a nearby picnic table and had Janine's homemade Australia cake.
Olivia - We woke up this morning and all of us headed for the beach. Granny and I ran while the others walked behind us. We were very tired so we decided to go for a walk in the botanic gardens. Hungrily we went back to our caravan park, had breakfast and packed up the van and headed off. We went to a roadhouse and had a pie each for lunch. We got to Palm Cove and set up the caravan and Dad and I went in the ocean while Mum, Abbie and Granny went shopping. We sadly dropped Granny off at the Queensland Airport. We headed for a restaurant and had dinner with our friends. It was Ruby and Frasers' birthday so we met up with them. We had free Greek doughnuts because it was their birthday while the adults enjoyed a meal of Baclava. We headed outside because the Saunder's Mum had made a cake shaped like Australia. We got tired so we headed home and then went to bed.

Grannyx I love the way you get up early and can enjoy so much of the day. It was beautiful jogging along next to the water........looking for crocs! The gardens were peaceful apart from the machine! I think that the caravan park at Cooktown was absolutely beautiful. The gardens were like display gardens and the flowers were bright and well cared for. I love the way you and Dad played games in the pool. You are so lucky to have such a fun Dad (and Mum too of course!) and they are blessed to have you two darlings!! Hugs!
Kris Your adventures sound so amazing Abbie and Olivia. It must have been so nice sharing them with your Granny after not seeing her for so long. I always laugh after reading both of your interesting and well written posts that I notice Olivia seems to comment a little more on the yummy food you eat - Maja would be exactly the same
Benjamin How clever! a cake shaped like Australia!
