Abbie - We were up early to get ready for our reef tour that we booked with the Saunders. As we saw where the ship takes off we were so excited. We got on and took off. After an hour and a half on the boat we got to the pontoon where we pulled up and we were booked for an advanced snorkelling safari with Ruby and Fraser. The safari was along the edge of the Great Barrier Reef and we were in the deep blue ocean which to be honest I was scared a shark was going to come up out of nowhere. While we were there we saw the most endangered turtle in the world and we also saw so many bright coloured fish. As we got back we had a buffet lunch and went for a snorkel in the normal swimming area. After going in a submarine with windows so that you can see fish underwater, we sailed back on the boat and we were all so tired.
Olivia - Today we got very excited because we were going on a cruise to the Great Barrier Reef. We met our friends there and our Granny was so happy to meet them. We got onto the boat and waited about one and a half hours until we got into the reef. We went snorkelling in a toured group and saw the most endangered turtle in the world and lost of other rainbow coloured big and little fish. We then came back to the boat and decided to have lunch. For lunch we had a buffet with everyone else on the boat. We snorkelled with a big Maori wrasse named Wally. We patted him and even had photos from a scuba diver. The Great Barrier Reef is a beautiful place to swim in and I had so much fun. I hopped out with everyone else because we were all cold. But I got told that we are having a photo so I had to get back in the water. We all got dressed except for Dad, two friends and me. We swam once more to see what we wanted to see and then we got out again. We excitingly got on a submarine and saw and heard lots of information about lots of interesting fish. We sadly hopped back on the boat and left. We got back to Cairns and said our good byes. We went out for dinner and enjoyed another lovely meal of paradise. And then that was the end of a great exciting, adventurous day and so we went to bed.
