Abbie - Packing up at Mudjimba was hard because it was raining. Then we went to the Gold Coast!!! At the Gold Coast we stayed at a Big4 caravan park. It was like a motel! Over the six days we were at the Gold Coast, we went to White Water World and Dreamworld lots of times, so I am putting all of the days into one. At Dreamworld there are lots of rides and I'm going to name the ones we went on. The first ride we went on was called The Giant Drop. You sit in a row and go slowly up and stop at the top of a very tall tower and wait, then suddenly…whoosh, we went zooming down and it felt like my tummy went right up to my lungs. Then after going on really fun roller coasters, we went to the dodgem cars. They were really fun! There are so many exciting rides. At White Water World there are so many awesome waterslides. There's an awesome one that we all did separately. It's called The Wedgie. You get into a tube with a floor and the person outside says, 'One, two, three, Wedgie' and the floor drops out! It's over so quick! I loved our time at the theme parks.
Olivia - Today we packed up the caravan in a drizzle of rain. We then headed for the Gold Coast where we were going to go to Dreamworld and White Water World. We finally got there and excitingly Abbie and I looked out the window and started seeing the waterslides from White Water World and the Big Drop as well as some roller coasters from Dreamworld. We finally got to our caravan park, got onto our site and set up the caravan. Soon after that we were greeted by a lovely toilet block with a huge fish tank and a large, posh space for showers. We got really excited about going to Dreamworld so we ended up going there. We first got there and got a few photos taken and ran to our first ride, which was the Big Drop. We continued screaming till we went on the Madagascar rollercoaster, just to get used to rides, before going on upside-down ones. We enjoyed going on rides and roller coasters until I said I would like to go on an upside down ride. I decided to go on The Pandemonium. It goes round and round and upside down really fast, like mad. I went on 'hard style' as 'soft style' doesn't go upside down. We then decided to go to White Water World and go on a few waterslides. We went on the Green Room first and it was so fun but we decided to go on a different one. We went on a waterslide called The Hydrocoaster. We went on a few waterslides until Dad was brave and decided to go on a waterslide called The Wedgie, where a trapdoor opens and you go whooshing down a steep tube full of water. Dad came out the bottom and said it was awesome fun. Abbie and I were brave enough so we decided to go on The Wedgie. We were walking up the stairs nervous but when Abbie and I got to the bottom, we loved it. We decided White Water World was about to close so we got dressed out of our bathers and went on a fun ride called The Claw and headed off. We went out for dinner and that was the happy ending of a great day.
