Pauline's Travels
It's Mothers Day in NZ today. Also where I'm staying in Paihia they have a 10km ran/ walk going on. As well as a Country music festival. So there are lots of people with cowboy hats going around town and musicians playing in several places down the streets. Then the line dancing starts! Little groups of people dancing in formation and turning. Luckily no one asked me to join in - phew.
It's a lovely sunny and hot day so I've decided to go for a walk. I started at the Waitangi Treaty Grounds where the Maori Chiefs signed their 1st accord with the British Crown in 1840. I then walked through the mangrove forests to a small horseshoe waterfall. It was much cooler in the shade.
Still a bit of energy left - maybe some line dancing?!?
