What no ferries to hurghada?

We woke up in sharm for our last day and went to check out at 12. When we checked out the guy on reception tried charging us for 2 damaged towels at the beach, no way we said never done that. We asked reception to take us to the harbour for a ferry, we had tried to confirm with the rep rasheed the other day if there was any but he never got back to us. After a while and some confusing reception made a phone call and said no ferries whole of may to hurghada. Damn we had already paid for a hotel so we wasted £40 each there. Our options were be driven there for £400 , too expensive, 2 buses 11 hours of desert driving or fly.

We decided to fly so jumped into a car to egypt airs office, we got there and turns out we had missed the flight to hurghada by 10 mintues, the next flight out of sharm was back to cairo at ready for it 22:45, it was nearly 13:00 now. We could of got a bus in that time but thought sod it cant be arsed,so we booked the flight and got to the airport thinking their would be food. How wrong were we there was a little cafe but that was it! We waited 8 hours in the airport before we were allowed into the check in area. In the meantime my mum rang us and managed to check us into the jasmine hostel in cairo as we were going to get there at midnight. Thanks mum!

When we went through security , twice, copey got stopped for his insulin, the guards asking how much and why so much whats it for etc.. I thought the rubber glove would be next but it seemed okay after a while. We boarded the plane and to our suprise it was actually ok, the flight was short and swift , the plane had lots of legroom and was clean and comfortable.

We got to cairo airport grabbed our bags and headed in a car to our hostel, we agreed on £10 gbp as i wanted to save my egyption money. The streets were very busy at 1am and there seemed to be a lot of shops open, some like smaller versions of dixons. We checked in with some guy who was sporting a manchester top, turns out his girlfriend studies in manchester, he was asking where we came from, sharm he said he then said you havent been to sharm unless you have had a russian girl. He then told us a story about how he was offered sex for money and in true egyption style he managed to get her to pay him for it!
