Paul and Laura on Tour
Firstly, if you really bothered read the Kaikoura journal again as we've added some more!
Second, i have no idea how to spell where we went on this day, it's something like Pukaniki but not so sure!
Wednesday 9th August - Set off from Westport and about an hours drive are the pancake rocks and blow holes. They're some funky limestone rock formations on the cost which look like stacks of pancakes! The sea also cuts away holes in the cliff which when water crash against shoot water out the top of the cliff about 30 metres up!! Very cool. Carried on driving down along the coast, which was really beatiful like so much else is in this country, until we arrived at the Franz Josef glazier where we camped up for the night. When we get the pics on to match this journal you'll see our view of the snow capped mountains from the campsite. I know I keep saying how nice all the scenery is but it's true, we just don't have anything like it in England. The moon is even brighter! Seriously its so strong it actually casts shadows on the ground.
Booked to climb up the Glacier tommorrow, exciting stuff!
