hey buddies hows things? ive had a great weekend. well it all started pretty early on tues we had melbourne cup day which is like a public holiday bit like grand national. so had to go into work early for a champagne brekkie whilst Walter (guy im working with) gave a presentation on the project that im working on. which if you dont know is a new building for the uni of Wollongong. its quite a cool n interesting building and is gonna be used as laboratory spaces but its a top spec building that should woah potential investors. anyways so we had brekkie and kinda did some work until aft. then we had a big slap up lunch and watched the race on the big screen. everyone got dolled up and a few folk wore hats and we had a sweep. my horse came in 12th. so after that we did no work at all as we drank more bubbles. then went to the pub after work. unfortunately for me my new work now think im an alchy.

on friday night, i went out with melina and parris from work. went back to hers and some wine and her friend elise & suzanne came along. We headed into the rocks and had a wander around the moonlight market which is quite cool. they have live music in the streets along with the market. was really nice. then we went and had THE most amazing pizza i have ever tasted. we had to queue around the block to get in but it was so worth it. you know here they dont tip waiting staff? how weird is that? after that elise's friend sings in the piano bar in the Shangrai la hotel. so we went up there for cocktails. it was very fancy and i was totally under dressed in my work clothes. but it was very nice. think i may even come back a classy burd! you never know!

Sat was a scorcher! i went back to the rocks and had a proper walk round the markets where i went mad n bout Dylan more crimbo presents. Then i went down to my local beach. (that sounds so cool to say that). beach was pretty mobbed and i was maybe only down there for bout 2hrs. i had on factor 40 (dont laugh) but when i got up this morning ive got burnt. its not sore or anything. just a bit of redness round top of my legs, obviously where i missed with the cream. the sun is soooo... hot here. and you can burn thru clothes its that powerful. i need to invest in those really dark sunglasses as im gonna ruin my eyesight. so i doubt i will be properly sunbathing. im gonna have to be mega careful.

Andy (my flatmate) had an extra 3 tickets for U2 on Sat night. his mates bailed out so i took one of the tickets. it was feckin amazing!! was out at Sydney Olympic Stadium. so got the train thru, this place is amazing. the london olympics will be so cool. anyway the stadium hold bout 80thousand folk but we had tickets for the pitch. Kan ye west was the support act. n no offence to anyone who likes that i just couldnt get into it. was very bizarre! he just had some stupid chick slutty dancing bout in tiny shorts whilst the camera guy kept focusing on her shareen nanjiani. but i have to say U2 more than mad up for it. i could not move for 2 hours solid nor could i see the stage even thou i was only bout 20m away. but i got up on andys shoulders and got to see the stage. woo! and a mass of tri colours n surprsingly folk wearing celtic strips. how predictable! what a top gig thou. was fecking amazing! bono did all his usual political s***. but was cool. managed to get some pics but they aint too great. was a nightmare at end, waited ages to buy a tshirt, everyone i wanted was sold out in my size. then queued up in the one outside and i managed to get one but it was like my 4th choice. then getting a train home was a bit of a nightmare.

today i started a lil extra job. was doing some bar work n waitressing for a jewish catering company. this guy was a judge n oh my god you had to see this house! it was stunning! it had a bar with pool room. n a gorg swimming pool out the front. oh how the other half live! but apparantly that was below average for the houses that these functions are normally at. i got paid 100 bucks to do 4hrs work. if you can really call it work. i took round some platters, got people some drinks and did some dishes. so getting shifts next week. it'll be a bit of extra cash n it means a trip to New zealand on the way home, as i really dont think ill be able to afford it otherwise. oh fiona i checked out this company called Stray n they do alot of adventure things in their tour. but i will check out this kiwi thing too. i have plenty of time to decide. think im gonna be over for around 5wks. cant actually wait to go travelling but unfortunately i need the cash to pay for it. anyways ive went on for ages. keep me posted with all your gossip. n speak to you's all soon. lv pammy x
