hey happy new year everyone!!!!! cant beleive its 2007 and ive been here for 4months now. woo hoo! as you can guess from my pics i went to the harbour to see in the bells. it was very surreal. andy my flatmates girlfriend Liz is over from london and she came with me to meet mel and her mates. we left the house at 1 in the afternoon wearing shorts n tshirts n put on my factor 40 to celebrate new year. was very weird. even at 2pm there was masses of folk camping out to see the fireworks. we managed to get a great spot on observatory hill, which is jus above the opera house and we had a clear view of the harbour bridge. had to entertain ourselves for all ttat time. so we sat drinking champers out plastic cups n eating strawberries n ice cream. they had 9pm fireworks for all the lil kiddies and then they have the main fireworks. apparantly it was to music but we couldnt hear it. apparantly shirley bassey was singin! they had some emerald city theme but had a diamond light up on the bridge. but the fireworks were awesome. well worth the wait even thou they only lasted 13mins. check out my photos. some are a lil blurry but you get the idea. unfortunately i did not get to kiss any hot blokes at the stroke of midnight. dunno whats up wi me, am losing my touch! my only new year resolution is to have more fun in 2007.
