Day 26
After 8000km, since we departed Sydney, we left the car in to get serviced and caught the train into Perth.
Went on a walking tour of the city, seeing all the main buildings and areas. Nice city, pretty compact and relaxed feel about it and the Swan river and Kings Park Gardens are picturesque. Maybe not as hip and trendy as Sydney or Melbourne but probably a more relaxed pace of life for the residents.
After lunching on sushi (mmm) for the first time since we started our trip, checked out the library.
Thankfully the car only needed a minor switch change so the service didn't break the (rapidly diminishing) bank funds!
Then back to the campsite which was hosting a 'sausage sizzle' which for all non-Aussies is just sausages, bread and red sauce. Needless to say we availed of this and got chatting to some of the caravaners, some were working in the mines (flying out for 2 weeks on and 1off), others were 'grey nomads' who have retired, sold up their houses and travelling around in a caravan.
Overnight: Discovery Park, Perth
