Day 4 The day started by catching the ferry from Sorrento in Mornington across the Rip to Geelong, the starting point for the Great Ocean Road drive. Stopped at all the lookouts along the way, including an excellent rainforest walk with huge beech trees and giant tree ferns. Day 3 Today was spent driving around Mornington, doing some shopping, stopping at a winery and checking out the scenery. Mornington Peninsula is SE of Melbourne and separated by a narrow body of water, called the Rip, which is the entrance to the harbour at Melbourne. Day 2 Katrina dragged us up at stupid o'clock, and we were packed up and on the road for 7.20am. Drove to Melbourne and spent a few hours checking out the city centre and it's buildings before heading on to Mornington Peninsula. Plan to stay here tomorrow as well and drive around a bit more. Day 1 Returned from Fiji yesterday with new visa's so packed up the car this morning and were on the road for 11:30am. Fiji was lovely, hot and very relaxing (after knew visa's granted) although didn't really get much time to explore it properly.
