Another beautiful sunny day in the Kimberly. Saddled up the horses and we headed to the yards to work the cattle, I was back on the reliable Pluto. After pushing them around for a wee bit, we brought the the cows and calves out of the yards and into the wings. They remained settled so we made the call to take them to the north paddock. A very relaxing start to the day, no rides this morning. So I managed to convince Brom to help me make a stockwhip. The thong was the easy part, plaiting the handle a whole nother level... we kept changing patterns in it, which was too much for my little brain! Still I managed to finish the plait and make the knobbly bit at the end. Will finish it off tomorrow (I think). Have to make both ends and then attach the thong to the handle. 5:30 start, had breakfast and out on the horses by 7. We went to the rapids - I guess they are rapids in the wet, but for now there was no flowing water.
