Today we have had the most fantastic day of our trip so far!!!! We went to The Great Barrier Reef!!
We got up this morning and boarded Ocean Freedom where we were greated with danishes, fruit and a large cup of coffee. We sailed to 'Wonderwall' - this is an 18 metre drop wall of coral. Here we had our first dive since Thailand, the fish and coral were beautiful and very colourful, 40 minutues went so quick. An hour later we did our second at Apolu Cay, vizability wasn't quite as good but saw more fish here including Nemo!!
We had a seafood lunch then did a glass bottom boat tour of the reef.
We then sailed to a sand island (only 10 metres in length) in the middle of the reef. There were only four of us on this island with no other boats in sight, it was magical! From here we saw wild turtles!! It was low tide so the reef looked amazing.
We then the got a bit of a fast ride on a speed boat!! It was the crew member's last day so this was a bit of a treat!!
We spent the rest of the afternoon on deck with fresh pineapple and cheese and biscuits - we felt like we'd met our millionaires!!
How did you spend your Monday????? Hehehe!!
